was the day I turned 12 and the day the 44 Magnum with the lowest serial number known (S130705) was shipped by S&W to Arthur Cook Supply Company in Laurel, Maryland. So far, the 44 and I are holding up pretty well. A couple of years later, I acquired S130706, also shipped to Arthur Cook Supply Company on June 14, 1956.

I would not have been able to acquire these two 44 Magnums without the help Chuck Odom (29-1). Thanks Chuck.

Happy Birthday Bill, many Happy and Healthy returns. Your photographs are always the best and your subject matter is what helped make "Dirty Harry" a smash at the box office. Happy birthday Bill,
Art Cook won a gold medal in the 1948 Olympics, I beleive when he was 18 years old, he was a smallbore shooter. He also won 3 position and prone national matches at Camp Perry over the years. I had met him at the Pennsylvania state prone match, other local matches and Camp Perry.
