War zone in my neighborhood.I can't understand why people shoot fireworks over others homes.You never see Idiots shoot them over their own homes.I live on a 1/4 acre lot and its bigger than most around here.Stupid unrespectful jerks.
By the way,The dogs are doped and while its somewhat funny I don't like it.

Roger that, "DeathGrip". I live in an upscale neighborhood, but the fireworks are really bad-if a casa goes up here, it'll be ugly. I feel sorry for the dogs (including mine).

I have some real idiots one street south.I'm across the street and out of range......So far the wind is in my favor.
I hear the kids between us saying something like "oh Ma Ma".
I heard the fall out on their property.

Funny thing is,I always thought that this stuff was not legal in the state of Fla.Yet they sell the pro. stuff at places that you sign some kind of B.S. and can walk out of there with some heavy duty,,,,Things.All of the time with the local county sheriff doing crowd control and parking.

I just picked up a bunch of debris from the neighbor's fireworks on my deck. This is the forth year he has been here. Seems like he is doing more fireworks every year. Mrs. Waldo is worried he is going to burn our house down. I am going over to talk to him in the morning. Don't really want to get in a fight with him. Don't really see him outside much.He always has friends over on the 4th and cooks out and does fireworks. He seems like a nice guy. I am going to take over some of his trash from my deck, and hope he realizes he should not be setting off fireworks where they can land on someone else's house.

Yep, usual war zone here as well. Outside of city limits, unincorporated part of the county, zoned rural. Anything goes.

Dog is upset, there will be massive debris on the roof, the deck, the field, and in the yard tomorrow morning.

I hate being the Scrooge on this type of thing but when the field burns, the outbuildings burn, there are holes burned in the rubber roof of the RV, and I have to pick up three large yard garbage bags of trash, it gets real old.

4 million dollars worth of property damage in my county alone last year during the 4th.

It's all fun and games until it's your house that burns down.

Sorry to hear that you guys have this sort of thing happening in your neighborhood, I consider myself lucky to live out in the country with only a few neighbors and none of them do this sort of thing.

We made it through the first round last night. They started at about 3 in the afternoon, and the last report I heard was at about 11:30 last night. I let Angel out to pee, and as soon as she stepped outside a firecracker went off next door. Hard of hearing or not, she heard that and turned around to come back in. Never went to the door again. Molly didn't bark this year. She spent about 12 hours hiding under the bed.

When I lived in Brooklyn, NY I made it my business to be out of town on the weekend of the 4th. The morning after the whole street was covered with debris and the fireworks continued almost throughout the night and made sleeping almost impossible. There was a contest among the blocks to see which one could shoot off the most.

Back in the day, Bronx streets were knee deep in fireworks. They used to send out the snow plows on July 5 to push the debris to the curb. The smell of powder filled the air.
Where I live now, I hear the occasional M80 or firecracker.

The neighbors behind us didn’t burn down our house, but they sure made a mess. They finally stopped about midnight, after firing off hundreds of illegal fireworks. I can't imagine how much money they spent.

I surveyed the battlefield this morning, at least they cleaned up most of it! Sorry for the blurry photo of their spent ordinance, but I didn't want to get caught being snoopy!

Pretty liberal fireworks sales laws here. As a result more and more stands open all year. I mean at least one stand every 1200'. Here's a major competitor. The characture depicted pretty much exemplifys what I believe is the mentality of fireworks affectunatos.

I'll go you one better-

New Year's Eve it is common to hear GUNFIRE at midnight. Lots of rounds.
A few years back, on Jan 1, I walked across the large concrete area at the top of the driveway. Laying 20 feet from the house was a 30 cal softpoint, obviously slightly expanded from hitting the concrete coming straight down.

I was annoyed.

A couple of years ago it was golf balls shot from a potato cannon I assume.I heard one hit my roof and found a bunch in the yard.Lucky for them I didn't find out who it was.There would have been a news story.

I had prayed for 4th of July rain all week leading up to Sunday but it didn't materialize on the 4th. However, there had been some showers in the days prior to the 4th and there was a rain shower at 1am on the 5th so that helped with the fire danger. I suspect because of this the property damage in this county will be less than the 4 million from last year.

If the amount of money spent on fireworks (mostly the illegal type) are any indication of the state of the economy then my area is doing really well. I thought for sure the volume and intensity would be down this year because of the economy but this sounded like a record breaking year.

I have not gone outside yet, mostly because I'll just get angry about the whole thing again when I see the extent of the debris. I can see some of it from the den window and that's enough to get me going. Best I cool off for a couple days before walking the property and collecting the debris.

The 4th of July is the only time I've wished I actually lived in a sub-division with strict rules. As it is we are rural and everybody is on 1/2 - 10 acre or more parcels and anything goes out here.

I'm so sick of fireworks I could puke. We live in a subdivision in the country (3-4 acre lots) and apparently that causes some of the white trash inhabitants to think that no laws regarding disturbing the peace apply, out here in the "country."

One family has miniature donkeys and pigeons. Right next to them is a moron who thinks it's his responsibility to put on a display that rivals Washington DC's.

If I was the guy with the donkeys and pigeons, I think I'd choke him to death. I feel like doing it myself and I'm a quarter mile away.

There are plenty of commercial displays if one wants to see fireworks. Not every neighborhood needs, wants, or should have to endure one.
