Hi,

I've only been shooting recreationally for about 7 months, but I've really taken a liking to s&w weapons, so I figured this would be a good place to hang out. I have a particular interest in the M&P line. The first time I went shooting a friend let me shoot a glock 19, a 1911, and an M&P .40 (which is the standard issue weapon for the PD he works for). I was most accurate with the M&P, and liked the way it felt the best, so I had to have one for myself. 3500 rounds later, I'm a happy customer. This has proven to be a very reliable pistol. I've not had a single malfunction other than a few mis-feeds when i was first learning how to seat the mags/chamber the rounds properly as a brand new shooter. Even that hasn't happned in 3000 rounds or so. If you can't tell, I'm addicted to going to the range.

I also have CHL on the way if the state of Texas ever gets around to it, so I just had to buy one of these puppies last week:

I've fired 50 rounds of 38 special and 30 rounds of .357 magnum throug it so far, and the trgger pull is very different than my .40, but still awesome. The .357's recoil was nowhere near as bad as I expected, and I think the big dot sights are nice.

Now I just need to save up for an M&P R8, M&P 40 compact, and maybe an M&P 40 pro if they make one someday! Why not an M&P 15 for good measure too? I guess the brand marketing worked on me! :p

Some .40 HST's recovered from my M&P at 7 yards after going through milk jugs (180's on the left, 165's on the right):

WOW!
Those HST's really perform well, on jugs at least. Impressive. You might get some interesting discussion posting that pic in the ammo section.

Welcom aboard.

Welcome from TN! Those mushrooms would make some nice flowers!
