Need help meaning it looks so bare. What is a good barrel shroud/fake suppressor that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

well im not sure how much your arms and legs are worth but theres a fella on here named belt_fed and he makes one helluva shroud for about 50 look him up under the 15-22 specific classifieds towards the top of the index

You can always change out the hand guard. If your barrel is threaded or unthreaded we can help you with the supp/shroud too.

I have the non-threaded barrel and thought the exact same thing. It just looked like it needed a little more than nothing.

So this was my solution. It is a Long Barrel Shroud. Simple installation as see here in this Express Review , with no barrel modification required. The price didn't hurt the wallet that much either. Plus it is made in the U.S.A. wich was just a bonus for me because I always prefer to buy American. Also take a look at RRAGES though they do cost more and if I am not mistaken they require the threaded barrel. And lastly if a threaded barrel is what you want see BELT FED's post #3 for that.

I just done a guys last week that sent me his upper and said make it pretty.. a threaded barrel with a shroud and an extended charging latch later he got his completed upper back and mounted his optics... one stop shop as they say..lol he was happy and I believe there is a post by him on here he may chimb in shortly... and if you deside to change handguard with a tacticool adaptor I can make a shroud that fits the new handguard..

I think I'm the guy BELT_FED is talking about, and yes sending my upper to him was the best decision I've made for my 15-22 so far. I too was like "man this thing is naked or something, I've got to do something." Now that I've had it back for a week or so I say I waited too long to send it to BELT_FED, lol e-mail him and send that thing away you won't be dissappointed, well you might be sad for a couple of days without it but you'll get over it when it shows back up at your door and you open it up. Also, FYI I tried the non-threaded attachments for awhile and they are some well made products, not taking anything away from anyone on this site, but they just aren't the same I promise you. The shroud is awesome I'll keep that on mine forever but I think of it as, if I wanted to take it off and put the birdcage back on it then it'll thread right on. So it works either way you want. I just think they look "beefier" with shrouds on them. The extended charging handle is a must too its so easy to grab now. But here are a few pictures. Are the only two options really the smooth barrel suppressor for ~$50 or the rrages one for ~$120? (For non threaded barrels). I really like the rrages one but seems like a bit much for cosmetics. I'm also new into these, so i appreciate the help for a beginner type question.
