I have two 64-2 in 2" with round butt. They are excellent concealed carry guns and have a little more heft and a lot more grip than a J frame. This greatly aids shootability and makes them the perfect everyday gun in my opinion. I like the 6 shots but I really prefer the grip, balance, and all around feel. Enjoy.
The Model 64 wasl introduced in 1970.
The 64 no dash version was built until late 1972, when the -1 engineering change was introduced.
The 64 is a fine weapon, no frills, reliable and easy to care for in stainless.
The 4 inch barrel no dash is the standard barrel version, looking indentical to
a Model 10 standard barrel.
You do see these, but not as often as you would think.
This one left Springfield in 1970.

Just able to get some pictures up of the 64 no dash. I have changed grips to pacs since the picture smaller profile and screws in not just wedged on and easily off like the hogue grip.

I used to have both a 60 and 64 and completely agree with this. The 64 was a much better shooting and feeling gun than the 60. There were times that the 60 was more convenient to carry, though.

I also have a 64-2 2" and have been looking for a concealed carry holster that is lined and easy on a 64 yr old man's waist. Any suggestion.

I use the Bianchi model 105. It is a lined pancake style belt holster. The back is flat and it wears very comfortably. They are available lots of places like midway and Brownells. It is open bottom so can carry any k frame gun also.

This version was very popular in my agency for plainclothes and off duty carry until Glock 17s were issued in the late 1980's and all revolvers were no longer allowed to be carried. Seeing these brings back memories. To the poster asking for a holster recommendation, stick with a quality maker such as Galco or Bianchi. Don't cheap out on the belt. Spend the money for a thick belt designed to handle the weight of a holstered handgun. Worth every penny you spend...good luck to you in your search.

I just picked up a model 10-5 with a 2" barrel and round butt. Thanks for the input on holsters. Looking into that myself.

I have lots of holsters, but I find myself using a Don Hume H715-M S.O. more and more often to carry my 3 inch Model 13-3. The barrel sticks out of the bottom by about a half-inch but doesn't cause any concealment issues. It ought to handle a 2 inch 64-2 easily. At age 60, tight pants aren't exactly de rigueur, so putting a K-frame revolver in my waistband doesn't strangle me. I also prefer the leather beltloops with "pull-the-dot" straps to any sort of clip arrangement.
Kframerbluvr's advice on belts was on the money, too. All I wear are 5.11 TDU Double Duty belts. I have several of them in 1.5 and 1.75 inch widths. You can wear them black side or green/coyote side out, and they are plenty sturdy.
