Hi everyone,

I tried carrying a Ruger sr9c but with a loaded 10 round mag it weighed (on my scale) 26 oz and it was pretty thick. Kept pulling my pants down and I was constantly adjusting. Went to my lgs last night and held a lc9s and shield. I liked the shield much better. The external safety on the lc9s dug into my hand. My shield does not have a thumb safety. Hopefully I will get to the range this weekend. Any suggestions for a comfortable IWB holster?

Thanks!

Congrats on your new Shield. I have a NTS in 9mm. I don't carry yet due to issues here in SoCal but may next year with some recent legal rulings.

Holsters seem to be a very personal decision. Good luck with yours.

With the Shield in 9mm I finally found my EDC weapon. After trying several IWB holsters I settled on a Desantis Tuck This II.

Congrats on the new Shield. I also used to own an SR9c and found that a 'real' gun belt makes all the difference in the world, especially with medium to heavy pistols.

I've been carrying my Shield for over 2.5 years now and rarely carry anything else anymore.

Comfort and IWB are two words that never seem to work for me. The Shield is so easy to conceal using an OWB that I never saw the need to IWB carry. This is a Wright Leather Works Predator.

"... a real gun belt makes all the difference...."

What Robz said! A good sturdy nylon or especially leather can be a big help, in or outside the waistband.

I can't even keep my pants up by themselves without suspenders, much less have something else weighing them down.

Love my shield. Ordered a hidden hybrid holster for my iwb. Should be here in a few days. I have been using a remora and have been surprisingly impressed with it.
