My second Smith revolver. Had some rust spots on the side plate. I ooo steel wooled them and oiled good. It's in good shooter condition. I paid $245 with transfer. Can someone please date it.

I would say it's a 1971-1972 date of manufacture. I would also say you got a heck of a deal. You will enjoy that revolver. I personally like their low luster finish and mine shoots very well even with me behind it. Good luck with it .

You didn't buy that, you STOLE it!

Good for you.

Is is a 4" or a 6"?

Please, post a pic.

The knock you'll hear on your door will be to serve the theft warrant on that one. Great grab. Enjoy.

Going to try to post pics. It is a 4". Blueing needs work. Might just spot blue it and shoot it. Somebody needed money so my friend offered him $225. My friend doesn't like revolvers so it was passed on to me.

That's probably the best idea. I wouldn't dump another $400 in it to have it reblued. Just shoot the snot out of it! Great price!

Congrats on the 28. Now that's my idea of a friend. That is indeed a steal, good job, Sir. You are my new hero. ;) Clean it thoroughly, get a bottle of Black Magic (cold blue), and rub it in, then oil it up, or...... just oil it up and shoot her. :D

Good Luck and good shooting.

Can't help it. Did you take it to the dance, or did you mean you acquired it?

Can't beat the price even if it has some minor cosmetic challenges, probably worth twice that.
