The things are just about right, 'as-issued'. I would, however, like to see factory-original forged parts to replace the MIM and plastic in the later production guns.

I wanted to have a set of grips that would follow the lines of a 39 a bit closer than the 3913 flat backstrap grip, I did a bit of work to a set of 3904 grips to make this...

Anyone interested in an aftermarket 3913 frame based off the old pre rail tsw with the short grip and also the frame having an integral accessory rail? hmmmmmm

A very sweet pistol. The 3913 and 3953 have been over looked for the new mini guns. I recently sold one that had extensive work by Novak's and Actions by T. Gone in one day 1300 I couldn't believe it. Now I'm sorry I sold it. In 97 I shot a perfect Qualification score with it. Sometimes I'm not lucid....But I did pick up a 39-2 NOS in the deal so all is not lost. Action job will post a photo asp...I love your stocks somebody did a great job. Sometimes Smith makes hasty decisions as we all do...George
