Just watched the first ten minutes. Comes out of the gate strong. Writing and pacing are vintage Justified. Tim's daughter sells her role, and the production values are solid. The courtroom scene will have you thinking, "Raylan, you didn't…."🙈. The digital FX are not so good, but ya can't be… well, you'll see it. Streaming on Hulu now.

I didn't think it was that bad, but then it wasn't that good either. The new bad guy is no Boyd, that much is certain. I wonder how many episodes go by before Rylan smacks that brat kid of his.

Watched the first two episodes on FX. Lots of time building the backstory on the characters, not quite enough Raylan action for me. TOO MANY ads!! Sheesh! And mostly all the same ads, repeated over in the same sequence with each commercial break...did I mention there were too many?

I am sure things will pick up Raylan wise soon. Hope so...

I recorded the first two episodes, will watch them later. I record most everything instead of watching in real time so I can zip through all the interminable ads.

Large bladder, eh?

I watched the first two today-recorded them last night. I felt the first was a little slow moving but enjoyed episode two. I took a little break between lol. As DWalt said it's much more pleasant to zip through the commercials that way hahaha.

Extraneous ads, openings, closings, etc. will usually account for at least 20% (and can go to 30%) of the programming time of prime time broadcast network shows. Some programming will start off with fewer and shorter ads and increase the frequency and duration as the show progresses. Ad time on cable channels can be any duration.

I can't say I disliked it, but it was not up to the first series standard, in my opinion. We weren't crazy that the setting is in an urban craphole nor did we care for the loud noise that was intended as background music. So far, my wife and I are "meh."

I liked it. Raylan Givens is the definition of SWAGGER.

The digital effects of the explosion looked really cheap but who cares? I watch Justified for the story not explosions. I've seen thousands of things blow up on TV and movies and if a show with a good story has to cheap out on the explosions fine. Just tell me a good story.

DVR'd it, fast forwarded through the commercials, and absolutely loved it, great dialog, good action, and as an ex Air Force dog handler, loved the K-9 part. Especially in light of what else is on the idiot box, this is first class entertainment. Never get tired of Raylan, and knowing the character, I imagine there will be a satisfying conclusion with the protagonist. JMHO...

I watched the first two episodes last night. I am neither hot nor cold about it, but it definitely doesn't stack up well against the original. I will watch next week's episode before I decide whether to keep it on my series recording list or bump it off. Raylon should have stayed in Kentucky.

Recorded it and watched it with about a 30 minute lag so skipped the commercials. I gave it a solid 4 of 5 and will gladly watch all they make.........

My wife and I loved the original series and looked forward to the new one. However, we've abandoned it after the first two episodes. I think it is terrible--cliché characters, stale theme, predictable dialog....

I watched the trailer a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked lame compared to the original. If it shows up on Prime I may try it, but I'm not going out of my way.

Bumping this up after tonight's episode. Ok, I haven't read either of the books this sequel is based on but I'm bored. Needs to pick up speed real soon or I'm not going to waste anymore time on it.

I loved the original series but no so much this one.

My wife and I watched the first two, and we're looking forward to the next. No, it's not quite the original, but it's still pretty good.

Different strokes for different folks! It just goes to show you how subjective our taste in anything can be, from TV, to movies, to music, and even sandwich condiments.

But we do miss Boyd Crowder!

I found the BG and plot very much in the character of some of the Elmore Leonard books I've read, but less like the prior TV series.
