Please keep the original grips on it. Apparently I’m the only one that thinks target grips look to big on a K frame. Especially a 4” K frame. Congrats on finding a beauty.

You are right, Bald1, you are the only one. I have targets on my 18s/pre 18s and think they look as good as they feel. Especially the diamond targets which seem to be just a little smaller than the later non-diamond targets.
To the op, that is a wonderful score! I'm so jealous.

I think those diamond targets look perfect on that gun, but then I grew up in the era when that's what I saw on all Smith and Wesson's it seems.

I've got one of the 6", 22 LR Masterpieces, K128XXX, which is about the same time period I suppose. I tell myself it's a '52, since I'm a '52 model myself. I'm keeping my eye out for a CM from the same period.
