I attended the Tulsa show this past weekend and had a wonderful time with many S&WCA members. The company was great as always. The tough part was walking 11 acres of guns. I was able to find a couple of keepers out of the ocean of firearms. This one is a 1953 shipped K-22 Combat Masterpiece in the original Gold box along with the correct SAT,brush and cleaning rod. I found it in an out of the way spot on the last day of the show.

Congratulations as that's a wonderful complete package that is hard to come bye these days.

Jim, Great catch. Its always great when you can find a quality piece on the last day of a show. It would make a great picture next to your other example.

K-22 Masterpiece

You just don't find such a complete, gorgeous set like this very often. Museum quality all the way. To me this is what collecting is all about.

K22 Grips

I have a pair of grips that I believe belong to a K22 or a Model 17
Serial Number inside the grip is 5432
Look the same as the one showed in this thread but without the diamond on the screw hole.
Could use some additional info on what other models they may fit.

Not to sound like an echo, but that is one beaut. I have a K22 Combat Masterpiece my wife bought for me in 1971 and I must say I have tried my best to wear it out, but it is still going strong. That is my favorite for more than one reason.

Well done. The K-22 has always been one my favorites, and I am still looking for a nice one. Until then, my little m-34 Kit Gun does very well, and is a great shooter.

Chop- Yes the K-22 Combat Masterpiece became the Md-18 in 1957 when Smith started model marking it's guns. I have not shot this one yet. I will pull one out of the safe that is not quite as nice. I am pleased with this package. Thanks for all the nice comments.
