I have not been on here in a while. I missed looking at all the history. Recently I was given a K-22 5 screw single line with serial # k957xx. My grandmother bought two sometime around the early 50's. One went to my great grand father the other to her husband. Mine has seen some usage the other is 95% or better. Not sure of it's serial #. I was wondering if you guys could help me date it. She just passed and was not sure of the details. Thanks for all who ask here with a little family history. I will post pictures as soon as possible.

Those are great guns to collect. They made a lot of them but they keep their value.

That is kind of late for a single line address. I read that they started the 4-line address about 1948, but there are always exceptions to the rule with old S&Ws. Does it have the narrow rib barrel?

Thanks for the help. Sorry about the address you are correct it is the four line. I was working from memory. I just found out from my mom that my gram and her first husband(he died in '57) got married in '51 so I guess Smith held on to those for a while maybe.
