I have a S&W 22 cal. it has 6 digit s/n, I have determined it is a 1957 manufacturer. What I can't find is Model. 17 or 18 or K 22 and also a value. It is in very good condition with a 4 in. barrel.

Look behind the yoke on the frame for a model number. If there is no model identification, it is a pre-model. Are there any letters on the butt near the serial number? Likely a Combat Masterpiece, or Pre-Model 18.

K-22

On the yoke there is a 5 digit number. Does not match s/n. The s/n does have a K.

Thanks
