Was at the local gunshow today walking the over crowded isles when I spotted a man with an old pouch tucked up under his arm. As he was making his way past me I could see the pouch was unzipped and I could see some nice looking walnut grips protruding out.
I asked what he had and he said it was a S&W 38. I asked what model and he said he did not know , only that it was a 38. I asked to look at it and when he pulled it out and handed it to me there was a really nice k-38 sporting Sanderson target grips and a trigger shoe. It had dry oil caked all over it but I could tell it was nice.
He said it was his uncles gun and he had inherited it. I asked how much and he said $400. I gladly paid the man his asking price.
It has a serial# K1388xx. I think this puts it at or around 1952. It is super clean and I am super stoked to have found it.
I also picked up a early model 29 no dash that was wearing goodyears. I put some nice coke's on it and put it in a thread of its own.
