A lot of folks on this site would like to see S&W bring back the 547 and I am one of them. Having owned a number of them, I have found them to be superior to their K frame siblings. A lot of that may be in my head though.
In addition to the M547 K frame 9mm, they already made an L frame .40S&W, the M646, in two versions, one from the performance center and one regular production. They both have adjustable sights.
