I pulled out my Model 15 and one of Rob's "Simply Rugged" Sourdough Pancakes for a long walk yesterday over the lunch hour. I wore a roomy colored T shirt over a "wife beater". (Wish we could think of a better name for that article of clothing). I'm a portly 6'2'/250, and I discovered that the 4" Model 15 simply disappears. I'm quite certain more athletic types would discover it hides even more easily.

Rob got it right on his version of the venerable pancake. It pulls the butt of my square butt Ks tight against the body and holds them there very securely. And, like all well designed pancakes, it distributes the weight well over a good belt. After an hour and 15 minutes of walking briskly, the gun (and speed loaders on the opposite side) rode securely and without adding fatigue.

Guess my reason for making noise here is to crow about a system that works well.

If it comes from Wasilla, Alaska, it must be great!

Seriously, I'm glad the holster works so well. Crow all you like!

I've got you bracketed. I have one for 2&3" J-frames which I use a LOT, and one for 6" N frames.

I don't carry big'n as much, but with a long vest or most any coat, it will hide a big gun quite adequately.

Good holsters for the money.

Sounds like something I could use for my 3 inch model 65. I must have missed something about this rig. . . Gotta link?

I only have the K frame size, but I'm seriously looking at his chest rig for my 5.5" Redhawk.

+1 here as well, IMHO this is the best holster for ones money. There are no bells or whistles just a very versatile and durable design that flat out works. Here is a pic of my M10 in my sour dough and double dump pouches. I found this system to be about perfect for hunting or woods bumming.

When I got my Simply Rugged for a 4" 66 I stopped hip carrying a shorter gun. That holster sucks the 66 in tight and it dissappears!

.....I have one for a Colt Det. Special and a S&W short barrel K frame; I consider Simply Rugged to be in the "best buy" category....reasonably priced, well crafted, and VERY efficient ! I also appreciate I can wear them either strong side or cross draw.

I'll tell you how well the Simply Rugged works: I was at an IDPA match on a hot summer day, wearing a four-inch Python under a very light summer shirt. Now, remember, this is a place filled with people "concealing" carry guns.
A couple of acquaintences came up to me and asked me why I wasn't shooting the match that day. I asked why they'd said that; they said I didn't have a gun.
'Nuff said about that.

As for the aforementioned garment- here in Chicago we call them "dago tees".
Be offended all you want, but I was married to Angelina Vacarello's daughter, worked for Anthony LaPelusa with my crew partner Joe Lunetto, and so on and so forth.

I've got 3 of Rob's Pancake holsters.....one each for my 629-4 Mtn Gun, a 60-4, and a 617-2 6". Now thinking I need one of his Silver Dollar Pancakes for my 642-1 and 342PD. Great bang for the buck...

I have a Silver Dollar Pancake for my 642 and love it. Also have a Simply Rugged for my 2.5" 686 and my 3" 629. I can carry the 629 under a loose tee shirt with no problems. They are great holsters for the money.
