Would serial no. 562,XXX be a model 17 or a pre 17? About what year was it produced?

K562000 would date to around 1964.

The K on the butt is actually part of the serial number; K562xxx would be a Model 17-2 from about 1965.
The last non-model marked K-22 (Pre-17) was numbered around K335000 and shipped in late 1958. Guns from K325000-K335000 might be model marked or not. The boundary is kind of fuzzy.
