K22 originality?

Those were ordered and installed on my Registered Magnum, REG# 1299 from 1936. I'm finding out just how difficult they are to replace.

This goes back a few years, but when I was in need of pre-war grip adapters for both K and N frames, I fired off an email to David Carroll. I got the same reply both times: "A small package is in the mail to you---call me when it arrives."

The need for the call was to tell me how much money to send him---$500 both times. I was a happy camper, figured those for the K frames would be more.

Give him a call, he has stuff he doesn't even know he has until he looks.

Oh, and one of the sets was missing the short screw. I called Brownells, who sent a package of 5X44 screws. They were too long, and the heads were too big. I told my drill press it was going to be a lathe for a bit, got out a little-bitty file, and went to work----a little dab of cold blue, and ended up with a screw that fit better than an original.
