K32 Masterpiece Is it worth it?

Hammer,

That is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have one of those Dayton Model 14-2 38's that letters to 1965. I passed on the Pre 16 I was looking at, there looked to be some finish issues on the side plate.
I would love to see it when I am in town.
Regards

Hi. I think you made a wise decision not to pay out the big $$$ for that particular K-32. The revolver may have some with those stocks, but I highly doubt a letter would show they did. In my collector mind, I prefer not to invest in a non matching firearm of any type. I bought this one off this Forum. The seller was easy to deal with and I gave him a A++ rating. He must have known the revolver was worth more than he sold it to me for. Maybe he just wanted quick cash. These K32's are like $$$ in the bank. A great investment, especially if all numbers match as this one. Keep up your vigil. You will find a real nice one someday. Big Larry # 2462

I've been following this thread from the first. How did I miss the price the guy was asking for it? Oh yeah, because you never told us! I hear people congratulating you for not wasting a lot of money on it, but then again, how much did they want? A properly priced lower grade gun could be a worthwhile shooter. Inquiring minds...

Froggie,

They were asking $3450 firm, the fellow i talked to would not dicker at all.

Two schools of thought. 1. The price is too high and the value isn't there. Pass 2. I may never see another one in this nice of condition in the next 10 years, so the price is tolerable. Buy.

i am going to have concerns with the pictured gun as well, if that was original blue in original condition, the trigger and hammer would have a much more vivid case colors, and that ejector rod is suspect as well
i would walk away quick at that price
