K38 finish?

Were the early K38's, with the gold box, double diamond grips, and black screw drivers ever produced with a matte and/or parkerized finish?

The post WWII K-38s had a less polished more of a matte blue finish. This continued up to the early 1950s. I've never seen a parkerized K-38.
