K38 Masterpiece info

My son has K38 37xxx narrow rib with Jinks letter. He really likes those narrow ribs.

Great write-up of information on the still popular post war "K's". I have K22 K32XX, and K38 K51XXX, which I believe are 1947 and 1948 vintages. No boxes for either. Both have the same width ribs and identical sights. I assume the K38 is not the HB version?

@Engine49guy I'd say the K38 is the one on the right. Besides the taller front sight blade, the barrel does look "bulkier".
Mine shown in the pic below, and again, the K38 (on the right) has the taller front sight. Otherwise, the profiles are identical.
Hefting both in each hand, the K22 does "seem" heavier, as well. Sorry, no postal scale, just a powder scale at home.
Odd, but I'm remembering that I never take them both to the range at the same time, so I never noticed the weight...



They both are capable of one ragged hole groups at 25 yards without much effort. pdgoutdoors should be proud to have a good shooter on his hands.
