Hey guys. I have been carrying for awhile now and tonight I was talking to a friend about conceal carry and he asked a question I did not have an answer for and I was wondering if someone could shine some light on it.
In the state of Kentucky, if you conceal carry a firearm, does that weapon have to be in your name? I know its legal to buy a firearm from a second hand but as long as its a clean weapon can you carry it?

Yes you can carry any legal weapon in KY regardless of where it came from. There is no type of registration in KY. When you buy a firearm from a dealer you fill out the form 4473 but that is not a registration. When buying used just try to get some form of reciept or bill of sale because you never know when a used gun can turn up stolen and its good to have a record of where it came from.
