Keurig owners

We had a couple of the basic Keurig units and I was less than impressed. Much of the issue were the cheap pods.
We put a top of the line Keurig out at the ranch for guests. Huge difference in quality of the brew. When our last cheaper one died we got the top end model. I have no idea what the model is called
We use Barrista Prima pods in either the French or Italian roast. Order them on Amazon and we have as early as the same day (distribution center less than 10 miles from our house) or the next day.
My wife is up and gone by 4:30 AM. She has two cups while getting ready for work. I am usually up at 5:30 AM. I have two cups while I pudder around getting ready then make a 14 oz cup for the road.
A full pot of coffee is a waste for us so the pods work very well.

I like the Starbucks Pike Place and Breakfast Blend.
In the morning, I usually have 2 breakfast blends in the morning, on the middle setting. Just to wake up.

I like those as well. I have also found the Kirkland brand at Costco is a very good budget coffee.

Bought one for my mom. We got her 80 K cups assortment for it.

She tried her level best to break it the first week, but once we overcame that, she used up every one of the 80 refills in a two week period. Various reasons including selling them, neighbor took them, etc.

She was 92 and had dementia and just a few weeks to live as it turned out.

Glad she could amuse herself with it.

I took it home after she passed, wife wanted it. I got a plastic refill cup to grind my own for it, but I prefer a drip pot.

Wife loves it, so it all worked out in the end.

I'm a big coffee drinker and really like Keurig coffee makers. I have two, one for the house and one for the shop where I do my gun stuff. I prefer my coffee as black as midnight on a moonless night and tend toward the dark roast coffees. My favorite is Death Wish. I also like Green Mountains Dark Magic, Sumatra Reserve and Double Diamond. Recently, I have picked up some Black Rifle Coffee Company Freedom Fuel and Beyond Black. I really liked those a lot too, particularly the Freedom Fuel.

The local ACME market had Death Wish coffee PODS on sale last week.
Stocked up on them at 75% off

Been using these for years. Only problem they break! I think we are
on our 5th one. Next time will buy a different brand.

I bought one at a yard sale for $5 or $10 - I forget which. It didn't work or had a leak - again I don't remember for sure. I called Keurig to see if there was a "fix". They sent me a "refurbished" unit for free and even paid the shipping. I'm still using it today several years later.
They must be making most of their money on pods. I buy their Dark Magic whole bean from Quill Office Supplies, grind it and brew in a reusable stainless steel "pod".

My absolute favorite is Illy brand. Certainly not the least expensive but as is said "life is too short to drink bad coffee". I have tried almost all the suggestions in previous posts and in my mind Illy is the best. I recently went away for a couple of weeks on vacation and the condo I rented mentioned they had a Keurig machine so I included a fair supply in my luggage, it was bliss. Read the reviews if you put any stock in them. I'm curious what the long-term health effects are going to be from pushing hot water through that plastic. Maybe I'm off base scientifically but that can't be good.

An interesting thought. But at my age I am more concerned about the psychological effects of not having my coffee in the morning rather than the long term health effect of a plastic pod. Certainly worth some research for those younger though.

Don't most brewers have some plastic components that contact the water?

Look in your fridge and pantry . How many of your food products reside in a plastic container ? How many plastic cups and tumblers in your cabinet ? Any plastic cutlery ? Do you use natural bristle toothbrushes ? Where does it end ? Hint ...it doesn't .

As I've posted, I love my local roasted coffee - Whiting Coffee.
My old Krups coffeemaker just gave it up.
But not to worry!
I have a new 10 Cup Krups on the way!

I am a one cup and out the door kind of a guy so the Kuerig works perfectly for me.

I switch up brands all of the time because variety is the spice of life.

The only thing I haven't found for it yet is decent chicory.

I've had my Keurig for a little more than a year, tried several different brands in it and settled on Community. I haven't found a half caf that I like, tried Green Mountain once and threw the rest of the box away.

Never thought we'd have the need of or use for a one. Our 12 cup Ninja is the best coffee maker we ever had.

We got our first one as a gift and since then I have learned that I never want to have to live without one.

We still use the Ninja every morning but that Keurig has opened up a whole new world of coffee flavors and I could never decide on a favorite. We also have green tea and hot chocolate pods.

We finally up graded to a model with a latte and milk frothier. Everyone that loves coffee should get one. You won't believe how much you will grow to love it.
