Keychain screwdriver

Smith & Wesson Keychain Screwdriver New

Does anyone know anything about these? Are they actual screwdrivers or just a decorative item? I've read that in order to remove the cylinder for cleaning on my 442 I should have the proper screwdriver or the screw can be damaged. Do these really work? For the price I wasn't sure if it was worth it. I would not feel comfortable attempting anything more so I don't need a whole set of gunsmith screwdrivers.

DO NOT USE them screwdrivers for that.They are cheap trinkets that would do for eyeglasses and such.You HAVE to get the right screwdriver to work on your pistol and then you still have to be very careful!

Thanks. Is something like the DAC set ok or do I need to find a S&W specific set? I don't want to spend a ton of money for a big set when I only need one.

to remove sideplate screws and the like...get brownell's set www.brownells.com its $50.00 fits a lot of diff.gun screws..even some scope mount screws...the small keyring one could be used for adj.sights...in a pinch...dont mar your gun using a sub-par screwdriver
