Because Kimber is the biggest, they are a constant target by those who for whatever reason take delight in seeing others fail. They take up the "Kimber is junk" banner and spread it all over the internet.

There's that... and a lot (not all) of the Kimber (and other high end 1911) fanboys sometimes come across as, well, snobbish and "your gun is junk mine is the be all & end all...etc etc." Sometimes annoying.

A lot (not all) the Glock ninjas are the same way...
