At one of my favorite antique, knife, Mil surplus and all around neat junk stores and came across these S&W knives. The set of 4 appear to be unused and very high quality. I don't know if the presentation case is correct or not but it came with the set. The brass one is obviously a promotional piece but I thought it was cool and it is in what I would say is 80%+ condition form what little knife collecting I do.

Any and all information/comments greatly appreciated

Thank you.
Might anyone know who made these or when for S&W. I never knew they sold any like these. I have only seen the larger tactical folders. These are quite nice and I would like to know where I can research them.
Thanks in advance.

Nice lookin knives!
I believe those were produced by Taylor & Sons for S&W. I sold one of their bowies here a while back. Check all the blades. They were usually maker marked on the ricasso.

Your knives are some of the many many knives made by Taylor Cutlery from the 1980s thru the early 2000s. Taylor produced many variations of knives with S&W logos, etc. for selection by S&W for the S&W Knife catalogs. You would have to research the S&W factory knife catalogs for those years to see if they were all official S&W knives selected for the factory catalogs. (One of our more enthusiastic members happened to meet with the Taylor people at the S.H.O.T. Show and arranged for Taylor to send him any knives they made with S&W logos on them. As only a small percentage of these knives were selected by S&W for factory sales, there was a large amount of Taylor's production passed over by S&W. Those knives soon started arriving by the dozens in our member's mailbox. He soon regretted his decision but it took awhile to shut off the flow! ) Ed

Thank you guys. I did find on the small blades Stuart A. Taylor & Sons. I will see if I can research the knife catalogs on line.
Much appreciated!
