Let's get ugly........

Stoeger Luger .22LR and a big Opinel

I have some pretty handsome guns and knives, but IMO these are the "ugliest" of the bunch.

Some of you older members may remember the Stoeger Luger from the '60s and '70s. Came with 2 mags, a mag loader and a leather holster. Sold for around $60 at discount stores.

Aluminum alloy frame and blue steel barrel. Fun plinker, although not totally reliable function - frequent FTE and FTF (jammed).

The only three items I have from my Grandfather who I never had the chance to know. His M&P 1905 target, a Marbles knife and a Zippo lighter. The knife and lighter date to the early 40's. I think we had a lot in common

So I was poking around inside the safe today when I realized that although I've obtained both my Grail Gun and Grail Knife, I've never photographed the two of them together, a mistake which needed to be rectified immediately.

The California Highway Patrol Smith & Wesson 4006TSW and Buck 639 Fieldmate, two Stainless Steel beauties with rubber grips, with distinctly 1980s-1990s aesthetics which you'd expect to see on a Television Show or Motion Picture of the era.
Both of them are somewhat rare, long out of production, but not too terribly expensive, so I was able to obtain them both, despite not having much in the way of disposable income.

Despite being extremely photogenic, both of these beauties are used and have their share of wear which may not be readily visible in the photos, but their wear echos in my romantic and highly sentimental mind untold stories of adventure which aren't entirely unreasonable expectations, seeing as the 4006TSW was in fact a former carry gun of an officer of the California Highway Patrol, and the 639 Fieldmate was carried by a hunter/outdoorsman. Regardless, they're both very special to me, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with them. Prizes of a chase born within the whimsical daydreams of one who is unabashedly young at heart.

Great thread. I attached a couple pics - My first revolver, a .22 Ruger Single Six Convertible with an Al Mar folder, circa 1975 or so. Second pic is my latest revolver purchase, a Colt Anaconda with a custom drop point skinner, circa a couple weeks ago.

Cold Steel Ti-Lite VI, Thrunite T1 Flashlight, SW40VE, and Ruger LCP.

And as a bonus, something that totally isn't a Handgun, but also isn't a Shotgun or an AEW, but simply a "Firearm" as per ATF specifications...

Rothco Ramster Survival Kit Knife and a Mossberg 590 Shockwave.
