here, my Buck General sheath knife in a custom sheath. Bought the knife a year before I deployed to RVN from the MACV Advisor course at Bragg, Oct of '71, also bought a Buck 110 at the little PX over on Smoke Bomb Hill. Coincidentally, when I was later CO of ODA 1 with the 5th SF Group, my company was in one of the old WWII barracks right next to the little PX, which was still there when I got back a year later. I bought the custom sheath for my General at Ranger Joe's at Benning when I graduated from Ranger School in late '60.
Anyway, here, wearing my General in my Ranger Joe's sheath, on my pistol belt, my two spare 1911 mags just in front of the knife. Down in a cafe in a market deep in the Delta, the Vietnamese is a a LTC, my counterpart, we are having coffee.
My son has the General now, for someday to give to his sons.
Here is my latest knife built in Adult Ed class with Rams horn for handle with my 19-3 a former police duty gun. Grips by Grasshorn with BK grip adapter.
