The snapshot within this photograph is of my dad and was taken when his Patrol Craft Escort was in at Pearl Harbor in summer of 1945. This same M1 Carbine is the one seen in the snapshot. This is the MK 2 knife he had shipboard as well. The AA rehab'ed Colt Model 1911 is my first .45 Automatic I've had for 42 years now. The wool blanket on which the items are all arranged was my grandfather's World War I Navy blanket. My dad currently resides in a nearby nursing home.
