ok ive figured out based on that photo page that mine is an early 80's sportsman series. my question is are these rare? valuable? im guessing not but just wondering.


i have this one... i found it in my dads old gun cleaning kit

They are not necessarily rare, but are a little scarce. Value is about same as any other quality unique knife. I have seen them sell in the $50 range.

I have been looking to replace the one stolen from my apartment long ago and would be interested in yours if you are looking to sell. They did have a sheath with them (see my posts in collectables and knifes.) It is shown in photos attached to posts in there. Thanks, Mike

I think the Sportsman had a single edge blade. The double edge "Swing Blade" is the "Boot" knife.

You're right. The 6042 is the "Boot Knife", and the 6041 is
the Sports Man's. The 6042 has a belt-clip sheath, while the SportsMan's has a pocket holster of sorts.
