Knife You've Owned the Longest Time

My grandmother brought this Wenger Swiss Army knife back from Switzerland in the 1950's and gave it to my dad, who gave it to me when I was eleven years old. I've had it now for 61 years.

Bought this Sears Buffalo Skinner when I was just a Wee Laddie.
Skinned many a Buf (squirrel) with it.
Wore out the original sheath.
Made a sheath, wore that one out.
It's most likely a Western.

Mine's a Shrade-Walden, model H-15. Dad got it for me when I was around 10 or 11 for my birthday I think. It's actually in great condition, as is the sheath, although the sheath needs a rivet replaced.
I'd post a picture, but my electric service lines are frozen up.
Honest, since I got this new computer I can't post pictures with it. I'll figure it out.

I made this myself in the early 1960's when I was about 10 years old. I've still got scars from trying to shape the blade. It was stuck into the side of the barn and I jammed a thumb into the sharp edge when the file slipped.

The handle is from a 2 x 4 and the rivets are 20-penny common nails. The blade is from a chunk of flotsam picked up on the Oregon coast while beachcombing for agates. If I recall correctly the guard is a bit of radiator brass.

I saved up my grade school milk money to buy the sheath.

Case mini trapper from back when Case still made decent knives (IMO) that I bought in an old fashion wood floored / 40 foot high shelves on the walls hardware store in the little town where my parents grew up in western KY... Bought it while I was in high school in the early 70s.

The SECOND oldest was another Mini Trapper that my wife bought me for my first Fathers Day in 1978.

Still have both, still carry both. I don't know that Case even made a "Pocket Worn" series that early and if the did, if either one of these were of that series. All I know is that now days they are both nice and smooth and pocket worn the hard way.

A Swiss Army Explorer I got from my parents as a young teenager over 30 years ago (1987ish...?). I had the handle slabs replaced with stabilized rosewood. It still has the original pen, toothpick, and tweezers. Used to carry it all the time, until sentiment made me put it aside and switch to something I didn't mind losing or getting damaged.

Mine's a Victorianox Spartan that I've had since 1979, when I replaced the 1973 original SAK I lost in the snow while ski touring and mountaineering in the Wind River Range of WY. The original apparantly fell out of my Woolrich heavy weight knickers when I dropped them during an off trail rest stop in the Titcomb Valley, en route to a winter ascent of Gannett Peak, Wyoming's tallest. Those were glory days. I wish I was that young again. We slept in snow caves, or stomped out snow for a 3-man tent for 10 days.

Outstanding!

That would be my Puma Skinner I bought back in 67. Around $30 and according to the marking made in 1966. Still looks mint as it was never used. Should be worth a few bucks on E-Bay!
