Does anyone have experience with the newest 9c's? Any issues? Thanks!

Had mine for a little while now, probably 300 or 400 rounds thru it, not a single problem yet....now that I said that, it will probably fall apart tomorrow..

Sounds good! I never had any issues with one I had a few ago either. I just wanted to see if current QC was good!

much heavier than the 9shield .. ... same size, more rounds .. i own both .. i carry the 9shield while at work and the 9c on weekends.. i often find myself pulling up my pants with the 9c,, the shield i at many times forget i have it on me (sometimes to the point of panic).. i have never not known or forgot having the 9c on my body..if i had to choose which one to get first or if i could only have one i would get the 9c ....
45shield if i lived in a round restricted area

No issues at all with mine. Only complaint is the trigger pull on my 9C is noticeably heavier than my Shield 9.

You can fix that with an Apex duty/carry kit. I did that to my 9c

I have that down as a possibility. I just don't know why the trigger pulls are so different.

I have the 9 Shield and I agree it is a light carry - I carry OWB in a Fobus paddle.

I am looking at the 9c - I realize "loaded weight" depends on grain size bullet) but can anyone tell me about how much heavier the 9c is than the 9 shield when loaded with the same ammo?

Thanks.

Mine was manufactured in 2013, I believe, and purchased new in 2014. That is the only pistol that gave me fits out of the box. It had excessive extraction/ejection problems, along with a slide stop lever assembly that would would either stick and not budge when trying to let the slide foreword or engage while shooting. The gun went back twice before 1000 rounds. The second time it got a bunch of new parts, including the barrel. I have not had that problem since. It has worked as it is supposed to since. I take into consideration that this pistolbwas manufactured during the Hysteria of 2013, and quality control in general suffered considerably.

I have a very early 9c, S&W sent me a new Magazine Catch and it hasn't a problem since. The latest versions seem to have an improved trigger pull.

Maybe you should wait for the 9c 2.0?

Who notes there will always be a better one right around the corner.
