I picked up a Kutmaster 2 bladed folding pocket knife at the local gun show. Nice condition (not NIB), blades tight and no rust. Simulated bone handle and both blades are 2 3/4 inch long, Paid $2.00 for it. Best guesses as to how old it is, Model number and any background you can give me.

Kutmaster made the Muskrat for a long time.
Here’s my Kutmaster Stock knife that came from a SRU-16/P Parachute Survival Kit.

My Dad used to stop at the factory outlet store whenever he was in Utica to buy factory seconds. We found a bunch of these knives while clearing his house after he passed away. My steak knives are Utica.

Utica started using the Kutmaster stamping in 1937 and started using Delrin handles (imitation bone) in the 1950. A search for Kutmaster Muskrat will show some current new ones for sale but they all seem to be out of stock.

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen. It is a good pocket knife and seems very well made. Will carry it at times, when just a small knife may come in handy.

I have a Kutmaster Stockman style knife that sits in my kitchen "junk drawer". I use it to open packaging, boxes and packages we receive weekly as I do not like using my kitchen knives for that. I inherited a bunch of assorted pocket knives from my Dad and this was just one of them. I use it as a working knife and have never thought about it much until this thread. Just seems like a run of the mill pocket knife to me.
