L stamped on cyl???

I sent my mdl.66 for repair,it came back with a L stamped on the cyl.???

Dick - are you sure it wasn't there before you sent the gun in?
I've seen the "L" stamp on other Stainless cylinders before.

I`ve had this mdl.66 for at least 37 years and never notice it before,I
have 3 other 66`s none has the L.It looks like maybe a new cyl.

It sounds like they replaced the cylinder with a new one.

I'll have to go home and check, but I think the "L" is on the cylinder of the 3" model 65 I just picked up. Let you know....still have no idea what it means though Rechecked the cyl, and it is an "F", not an "L". Still no help from me...sorry.
