Labeling Magazines

Hey all, I want to start labeling my magazines and was thinking about using some of my wife's old Nail Polish. Of one doesn't have any stencils and wants to make them look some what good, how should I go about it? I was going to use some adhesive labels but decided against them because of the Cleaners and Oils inherent in weapons. Any help will appreciated. Later,

Define label? If I have trouble with a magazine I put red polish on the base and keep an eye on it. If I have more trouble, I give it away.

Hey Max, I just want to # them so I can make sure which one is which in case of problems and or maintenance.

You can use a Dremel or one of those electric pencils to number them. As I said, I just identify the problems and then get rid of them or relegate them to range use.

I use one of those paint pens you can get at any hobby shop.
They work well on polymer and metal mags without gouging material.

Sharpies work. They clean off with alcohol. If a mag malfunctiins best to just get rid of it. I used to number mags by just scratching the number on the base. Now I no longer bother.

Not that I own any magazines....or firearms. Nods solemnly.

I use a P-Touch Labeler with black tape printing white characters.
I then apply to my mags and coat with clear nail polish.

Man.......... and I thought I was anal.

I don't label my mag's, but if one does give me trouble and I work on it, I'll just mark that one. If all others are working properly I don't really see the need.

Tamiya paint pen from the hobby store.

I use it to label my PMAGs and my handguns mags.

I suggest duct tape and a permanent marker.

I don't label my Mags or Clips, but I do name them. When they give me trouble I clean them and replace the spring or follower, if that don't help I crush them and sent it to the recycle bin.

I use one of the metal marking paint pens. I just put a number on the floor plate, so far its been holding up well.
