Good luck! MY brother was a with a company for 20 years and worked his way up to VP of sales. They figured that had to change something and pinkslipped him last week. Save your money, and start looking right away.

I feel your pain, I got laid off from an assistant supervisor position at a synthetics plant, after that it took 3 months to get in at McDonalds, started there last week. I am hoping for both of us.

Right off the top of my head with qualifications like yours, I'd say you should be managing editor at anyone of two dozen large city newspapers nationwide that seemingly are rudderless. But likely you have your sights set higher than that? PMSNBC certainly could use some talent! No? Too high an IQ for there, dammit?
I've got it! See if one of those "green jobs" that are being developed as we speak, has materialized yet?
I'm not laughing at you or anyone else during this Ron. Better to get a chuckle where/when possible than shedding a tear. It ain't easy my brother...

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I've had my own business for 17 years and to say times are tough would be the understatement of the year. I know of many small business owners who are struggling and I'm afraid we are going to see more layoffs and businesses closing. Things WILL get better.
