Landman TV Series

Like the show as well, although I could do with a bit less of the overemphasis of Tommy's 17 yo daughter in her underwear. Tommy has some great one-liners.

I thought she was one of the best things about the show.

For the record she's Michelle Randolph, and is 27 years old. She's also one of the main characters in the series 1923.

Anyone else think that Taylor Sheridans' dialog writing is way over the top? Every show I've watched of his leaves me wondering who, exactly, talks like that to their coworkers. Last episode of Lioness has the squad leader yelling at everyone half the time. This shows weakness in my mind and not someone who should be "in charge" of anything that uses weapons.

I'm so over this guy myself.

Have to laugh that his new series premier always starts at the end of a Yellowstone episode on Paramount, but....if you have been hooked you can continue to watch on a pay for view "streaming " channel, Paramount +. Nope, I'll pass !
Pay more than enough for commercial filled tv programs as it is.

I love the show, and I’m not a big Taylor Sheridan fan.

My youngest is a roughneck in a west Texas oilfield. He has a GED and makes more than twice what my daughter does with her Masters.

Its also worth it to see Billy Bob in all his glory.

Also, its “Landman” not Landsman if you’re looking for it.

For y'all that were offended due to a lovely young woman being shown in her underwear. Here is a picture that's probably right up your alley of the same girl in her role on the series 1923.

Good show but not smart killing off the best actors on the show in the first episode. The son working with them was the best

Living in Oklahoma and Texas most of my life, the oil business has always been a huge topic of conversation with many friends and family members being employed by it. I've known many landmen over the years and of course, they see less in their entire careers than what was seen in the first couple episodes, but that's tv for you. Whats annoying to me with Landman and Yellowstone is how no one can speak a sentence without saying the F word 5 or 6 times. I'm in the construction business and even the most ignorant rednecks I'm around rarely talk that way, there are a few but not very many.

I imagine the first episode was a teaser and that those actors are probably too costly for a whole season.
Landman is a much better show than the most recent season of Yellowstone which so far is embarrassing.

I was surprised to see Michael Pena and Emilio Rivera have such a short run, especially since I liked their characters. The kid was in Justified and The Son - nice to see him getting some work.

Taylor Sheridan has probably over stretched himself and will run out of ideas for further plots. Will some of the characters on Yellowstone move over to his promised "666"? Lioness probably will not go another season. What happened to "1923"? Landman will have at least another season. It's easy to get confused with so many plots going on simultaneously. That said, he is a good writer.

I REALLY liked 1873 and 1923 don't know why did they got dropped?

Second season of 1923 is currently being filmed in Butte, Montana, and wherever else . They put out a casting call a couple weeks ago for extras... a couple hundred miles south of me, and too far to go to be interested, lol !

BTW ...1883 was originally supposed to be a one season mini-series depicting the beginning of the Yellowstone series as we know it. Everything I've seen and read, says it was designed for one season only, and there is not a follow up
. It pretty much ended on the very last episode.
