laser on J-frame

I've spent the last 30 years focusing on my front sight. Handgun, shotgun, rifle, no matter. Doesn't the laser require you to look at the target, and therefore downrange? Is it not confusing where to focus when time may be of the essence? Just askin'.

Im very happy with the crimson trace on my 642. Great to have even if I don't shoot with it on all the time.
