I'd like to get a laser for my SD9VE. I'd prefer a small/low profile unit but would be open to larger one if it is better. It will be for inside self defense purposes.
I don't know what will fit your SD9VE, but I have a Trijicon green laser on my Shield that works great even in daylight. I like that the laser switch is located on the front strap and can be activated when I draw the pistol. I think some lasers require shifting grip or using the support hand to use the switch.
I bought a Viridian C5L .. which is a green laser and light combination .. has 6 modes of operation including strobe light and strobe laser .. well made and haven't had any trouble with it in over 1 year of use ..
Several different side rail sets for use with different configurations of the rail on your pistol ..
Is a bit expensive but is small and fits on all of my pistols Great tool for dry firing practice too.. shows any movement of the barrel when firing the weapon ..
I got this one for about $35. It's a red laser that you wouldn't use a holster with. The trigger finger is used to activate it, and is easy for me without altering grip.
I decided on the Crimson Trace CMR-201 for my M&P 9c, which is my office firearm. I'm going to see how I like it and if I do I think I'll get the CMR-205 for the SD9VE, which is a home self defense firearm.
