Thinking of buying another toy for the 15-22. It's a Laser, red dot. My question, It is suppose to reach 50-100mm. About how many feet is 50mm ? I checked the internet and everything has decimal points and confusing to me.

50mm, is only 5cm or roughly 2 inches....1 foot is 12 inches.
So there are hardly any feet in 50mm.
I think my math is correct but maybe my understanding of the question isn't. ???
Do you mean meters and not millimetres (mm) 1 metre is 3.2 feet? If so then 50 metres would be 160 feet, which sounds more plausible, just don't go shining it at the 'Ghetto Bird'

The decimals are because 50 mm = a bit less than 2 inches.
Not much of a laser.

Yeah just be aware that anything over 2 inches distance and that laser is probably going to look the size of a dinner plate, a friend of mine bought a laser bore sighter from the 'red entrepreneurs' and at only 25yrds that thing was the size of a tennis ball, not exactly the precision device he was expecting but it was cheap.
My pennies worth would be to go and buy a laser pen/pointer...one you can actually test then figure a way to attach it to your rail...or buy a better quality but obviously more expensive one. Sorry but a projected laser will probably disappoint you and be a waste of money, meaning you will have to buy another one anyways. But what do i know i am just a figment of my own imagination

Thanks Mutt, That's why I getting the cheapo, going to experiment with it before I go big time. Just noticed it was 50m-100m, not mm.

Something to consider: it is a red laser- like the ones at wally world. At 10$ it is not going to be "high" quality, and it will arrive next Month!! I you want to see what it would be like: get a laser pointer, duct tape and put it on the gun, I say this because there is not a pressure switch in the description, and depending on where you mount it, it may be very difficult to activate from a shooting position. I realize this is a test, inexpensive, but for "real" use you would probably like an instant on/off, the same as a light since you would not want to advertise you were coming. My first was a guide rod "lasermax", it work fine except during the day, it was difficult to turn off/on with out moving your hand, and it was 300$ since it was for a Sigma instead of a glock, but that was 20 yrs ago. Now it sits in a box with it useless brother. Look for a pressure switch. Be Safe,

m = meters which is what I think you saw.
A laser that projects 50mm would be worthless.
Assuming what you saw was 'm' for meters, here's the conversion:
1 meter (m) = 3.28 feet...
so...50m would equal 164 feet.
