Hi All! I wanted to show off my latest. It is a model 66-2, 4" barrel. Stopped in at the LGS today and found this beauty. I didn't need another 4" Combat Magnum, as I have multiple blued and nickeled model 19s, but it just spoke to me out of the case. The serial number is ADC14xx, dating it to 1983 according to SCSW. The gun looks barely fired, but carried due to a couple of dings in the stocks. The stocks appear original as they are stamped "Sept 18 1983" on the inside. It was offered to me for $335 +tax. My dad (a retired LEO who taught me everything I know about Smiths and shooting) was with me and sealed the deal by whispering that it would be "egregious" to walk away. I agreed. No box or papers, but a good deal I thought. Here's the photos:

Congratulations!

For that price, I would have been all over that one.:)

I haven't sold too many firearms. Unfortunately for me, my 66-2 4" is one that did get away.

I bought my 4" 66 from a Montgomery Ward store in Louisiana in the mid eighties. It has been carried many miles, and has never failed me. If I had to liquidate all of my guns, it would be the last to go.

I'm in the Philly area also. Where did you find the 66? I'm looking for on myself.Thanks.

Definitely on my wish list. Great gun and great price. Now, let me go look up egregious...
OK: I agree.
