Nice article "S&W's Masterpieces" written by Mike Venturino in the September/October issue of American Handgunner.Handgunner is one of my favorite magazines they cover more of the classic handguns then the rest. Handgunner and Handloader are the the only two I really like . I get Guns&Ammo , Shooting Times, and American Rifleman but they have seemed to go downhill in the last 5 years to much political BS and plastic guns for my liking.

Just finished reading that article and I also enjoyed it very much. I also agree with you about American Handgunner magazine. Lots of worthwhile and interesting stuff, and I appreciate the editorial stance they maintain. Mike has had a tub full of those nice old guns over the years. Betcha he wouldn't mind having them all together in one pile today!!

Thanks for the head's-up on the "Masterpiece" article. I don't subscribe but I'm going to pick it up on my next stop at the grocery store.

I've been pretty pleased over the years with the number of article AH devotes to S&W revolvers. That is the only magazine I subscribe to, but I will buy a Handloader if an article covers what I load/shoot.
