So far the parts list is something like this, from front to rear;

BAD *** Ambi Safety
ODIN works XMR in FDE
NDZ SBR in FDE
Magpul AFG2
RIS Rail Covers
NDZ Mag latch (Molon Labe) yes I do know what that means. ;).
Magpul MS3 Sling

Also as optional swap outs for when I want a change or to just give me a tinker, I have ACOG TA01, 2 X Hogue grips, Tacticool22 Charging Handle with NDZ Etched Latch (Death from Above), its an airborne thing :D

Looking forward to hearing how that Doomsday handle works out, looking real sweet over there. :)

On another note, has Hereford been abducted by aliens or something?

Happy, safe shooting, you crazy addict you

I'm interested in where you get your parts from? I live in France and either buy bits from when I am over in the USA and sometimes bits from the UK from when I am over there - although it is of course more expensive. I like some of your parts you fitted but obviously your budget knows no limit for a 22LR...............

What's an ATEC Sound Mod?

Hi Dullh

An ATEC sound mod is just a brand of sound moderator or suppressor to give it another name. I think I posted a pic somewhere on here a while ago of it fitted.

Trambly

Most my parts come from US. As for budget. It's really a case of, getting bits as and when I see them or have a little spare. Nothing is planned or even costed. I just go for what I like when I can.
Yes I know it's only a .22 but I will likely do the same with both my next 2 projects, 9mm and 5.56. Be done in stages but will eventually be tricked out as much as this one. Just because, it's an addiction. Lol.
It's all about just one more go faster bit!!!! :D

Are you buying when over there or do you have a list of friendly suppliers that post outside of the USA? I've found it hard to get things sent.

Update for post

So I have had 2 trips out now and done around 700rds with the new handle from Doomsday.

Performs very well as I expected it would. No difference from my Tacticool22 handle. Great finish on the coating.

As for the latch edges, yes they appear to be a little hard on the edges, so I may well give them a rub/polish to soften the edges ( but will make sure to not butcher it in doing so ) but as for marking the upper, no more so than my PT Handle, which is to be expected really, after all, steel is harder than polymer.

Remington thunderbolts. 200 rds 3 FTF 1 FTE

RWS Semi Auto 300 rds 0 issues

RWS Target 200 rds 0 issues

Overall VERY happy with function of the handle, works very well with the EXPS and G33 fitted, and super stoked to finally get one in UK.

Maybe it is a first, of that I'm not 100% sure but maybe.

So now for some extended take down pins and I think that will be me all done. :-).

He said smiling, as I'm sure there will be something else that comes along soon (Tacticool Ambi Handle maybe? )

Hope you Brits can keep up eh! :D

Rob.

Keep up? no way man, you are like the Cartels, 'getting new product all de time' i would think that you are first with the 'Doomsday' :) Ooo link pics of the extended takedown pins....

Done, i'll assume you mean 'done for now'.

I think i am gonna run with that tacticandle idea, i also have a few things in R&D....a TBFH (Tactical Breech Flag Holder) a TTTT (Tactical Tactics Training Tool) an TAHTD (Tactical Assisted Head Turning Device - like those magpul guys do after each shot ;) ) TLD (Tactical Location Device -like a compass) and the Mrs is almost done with the TPR (Tactical Particle Remover)
I think we are going to name our company....erm Magpul.....No....erm 'Clip-push'....yeah.....Clip-push ;)

as for the Doomsday charging handle,

$60 for a charging handle - now that is a serious joke price. A decent AR15 handle is $20-$30. I think some people are profiteering at the expense of those who don't know when to stop with their MP15-22LR rifle. I think the S&W plastic handle is rubbish but it shouldn't cost $60 plus shipping to sort it out.

Yes I know you guys can do what you want but seriously there must be better ways to burn money than this..........

I expect a ton of flak for even talking about the sacred subject of MP15-22 pimping and bling add-ons...

I guess no one informed you that there is no negativity allowed on the forum on a Sunday...we'll let you off for that one because you're new. :p

I had nothing to do during a rainy day in Norway and I think I have browsed every rifle link on the internet. My upgrades will have to wait until I go to the USA later on this year. Last time I filled my bags with reloading gear including a progressive press. Alu bits and pieces should be a relief by comparison......

$60 (USD) is nothing to what we have to pay in our beloved

rip off country......:(

check this one out http://www.lannertactical.com/tactical1/ARMAD01.html

keith:D

Wow, cough......... That's a 1/3 of the price of what the average American pays for an entire MP15-22 .....

Saying that it's more of a European thing than a UK thing, this price nonsense. I paid €810 for my MP15-22 MOE version in France. They were wanting €60 for a spare magazine. I declined their bargain offer and bought 6 extra for $18 each in another country......

Shared pain ..........
