Latest M&P improved trigger: myth or truth?

Picked up my first M&Ps last month new. Both have no grittiness at all in their triggers.

Purchased my 40c two months ago. No trigger issues. I was beginning to think I wasn't paying enough attention. Surely mine must have trigger issues given all the discussion on this forum. Glad to hear it may just be as good as I thought it was.

I just bought a M&P40 last week and the trigger is fine. It has a nice smooth pull. No grit or hesitation.

I bought my MP45 2 weeks ago, I have run 295 rounds through it, I have found no trigger issues at all.

I like the M&P so much, trigger included....I'm seriously thinking about a M&P9 Pro 5'' even though I have 3 CZs and a G17.

My recently purchased M&P 9c has a pretty smooth pull.
The reset isn't Glock like but not bad....the weight feels around 6-7 #s, wish it was lighter.

Hi,

I picked up a M&P9 full size and the trigger is fine. Out of box, it had a little bit of grit in the take up, but once you hit the wall it was very nice.

I polished the trigger bar where it contacts the striker block until it was shiny and applied some grease and the take up grit is much better.

I put 80 rounds through it at the range and I did slightly better than my Glock 19 accuracy wise so I'm not making any changes to the trigger. It is a great shooter.

Good luck,

Alan

I purchased a new Pro 9 friday and noticed it has some noticeable grittiness in the take up. After 150 rounds yesterday it's still there, not too bad but I may look into polishing it up a bit.
