I sometimes have a difficult time, trying to decide which guns to bring to the range. I started thinking about LE guns. It turns out I have 4, which is the perfect number for my pistol case.
Top to bottom:
M66 ND, marked CPD
M10-8, re-import, from France, I think
M18-3, Colorado State Patrol
Colt 3 5 7, that belonged to my wife's dad, when he volunteered with New Mexico Mounted Patrol.
I didn't shoot as well as I would have liked, but I was still able to get some impressions on the guns. All shots were DA, one hand, at 25 yards.
The Colt trigger is smooth, but, wow, does it stack.
The 66 has the best trigger of the lot. I could shoot .357 158 grain JSP's out of this gun all day.
The 18-2 is a lot of fun, but could use a reaming, as I had to brush out the chambers a few times during the session. It shot better groups with CCI 710 and 835 FPS than it did with Standard velocity.
The 10-8 has Trausch grips, which seem to fit a variety of hands quite well.
