Law enforcement using handguns with optics?

We have them as well, not everyone as it's not mandatory some us don't want them but they are approved for use.
It took me awhile to approve them but I eventually came around and now I like them.Like it was said above, it's a tool and in this world today I'll take every tool I can carry to help deal with situations.
