I posted a while back about opinions on Lax Ammo. Well I was finally able to visit the range with some of their new LAX branded ammo this past Saturday. It all shot well and am very pleased with the results of, 38 Special, 357 Magnum and 44 Special.

It took maybe 7 to 10 days to receive the ammo because of high order volume due to the free shipping offer. The only issue was they initially charged shipping but credited my account rather quickly. I split the ammo with a buddy, 500 rounds of 38 special, 500 of 357, and 250 of 44 special. We decided to make a minimal purchase just to check them out for quality. Breakdown on cost was:

$14 - 38 special (50)
$14.50 - 357 (50)
$23.80 - 44 special (50)

FYI: First time buyers receive free shipping on their reloads or new LAX branded ammo. Check them out, and get on their email list for special deals. (Take turns with shooting buddies for free shipping for first time buyers.)

I just tried some of their 45 Colt ammo in my SAA. Seems like decent stuff and they're one of the few places I can find that caliber in FMJ as some indoor ranges don't like exposed lead.

Well, this sounds good cause I was wondering about them. Although they are clear across country from me and the shipping rate may wipe out the savings. I might give 'em a closer look-see and see what it would cost.

I've got around 7 places I trade with and will even buy locally when in the neighborhood. I can sometimes get cheaper at the local box store and save the hassle of having it shipped.
