I'm thinking about having a set of custom engraved grips made for one of my 1911s. I know the design I want, but who do I get to make them? I found several companies on the internet who can do it. But I figure there must be people here who have had some experience with this. So who can y'all reccomend?
Also looking for suggestions for what type wood? I know the image would really stand out on faux ivory, but frankly I don't think that would look right on this particular gun. I believe wood would suit it better.
I want something with a nice color and figure, but still have the engraving very visable and easy to see. Suggestions?
