LE model of Shield??!

Anybody know if the law enforcement model of the shield is coming out? Maybe they will have it with 3 mags, nite sites and no safety! I called a s&w LE distributor. They told me by july a LE model will be out but will not reveal the specs.

Don't know about an le model but I did hear from a good source that this wonder pistol will be available by fall in 500 S&W.Can't wait to get my hands on one of those!!!

I'm hoping for a no safety model. Not because I'm opposed to safeties but because that safety seems harder to take on and off.

The LE model should have a third magazine and be about $25-50 cheaper through the L.E. discount.

I may wait or just buy one now and use the Veterans prom0 S&W currently has going.

Here in the land of no sales tax I can have one tomorrow for $349 OTD after rebate - $300 if I wait until July.

M&P 9/40/357 MSRP is $569.00
LE price is $399. 399/569 = 70%

BG380 MSRP $419.00
LE price is $289 . 289/419 = 69%

I ran the numbers for all my S&W LE purchases and they all are right around 70% of MSRP. So......

Shield MSRP is $449.00
$449 x 70% = $314.00

I'm thinking it will be somewhere between $310 and $315, with an extra mag and free shipping.

LL, your logic is sound. I hope you're right - either way I think the discount will be worth the wait.

I don't quibble over 20 or 30 bucks but an extra mag and a $50-75 break is significant.
