LE model of Shield??!

Talked to a rep at a meet and greet yesterday. He told me the Shield LE will be available in July. He said it will come with an extra mag and a discount. He also said night sights would be available but did not state for how much. On current le guns they are $50 so I assume around there.

Oh yeah, I also shot the new production run M&P's with the new trigger!! Oh Snap! yup gone is the reset grittiness and there is now a more positive reset!

Wow. I may have to send in my M&P's for trigger work.... I bet they would just swap in the new parts. ;)

I'm not being disrespectful, but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

The LE gun is the same exact gun. You cannot tell it is an LE gun. There are no markings, no difference. Without the box you have no idea what I paid for the gun.

To take this silliness one step further..... If the owner sent in for the S&W $50 rebate are you going to offer less because of that??? If not, WHY NOT? He paid less than $400 for the gun, now it's a $350 gun!

And then if he got a VISA credit (my card will do this sometimes) he could have got a $50 rebate also, so now the gun is only a $300 gun. And maybe the owner got some in store discount on ammo with the purchase and a $20 S&W hat. Are you considering that too?

No you guys don't consider that garbage. Because it's just plain ridiculous. A gun is worth what it is worth, and anyone taking $200 for a M&P is not a wise consumer. And anyone who believes that because S&W gave a discount on a firearm to support the law enforcement community and that because of that discount the gun is worth LESS money, well, they aren't very smart.

Not saying you, but the store owners are trying to pull a fast one on the customers. If I sell you my brand new M&P for a dollar does that make it worth a dollar? Or did you just get a heck of a deal?

If I give you a new M&P for FREE, does that mean it has no value? That's exactly what those store owners are trying to tell their customers at trade in. Your gun is WORTH LESS because you got a deal. And that sir is B.S. with capital letters... ;)
Hey, I agree with you 100%. I'm just quoting the policy of 2 gunstores where I've worked. Rebates didn't affect the value. Just the dough the customer laid down on the counter. A guy came in with a nice SP 1 Colt, but wanted a new tacticooled AR with rails etc. I told him he could get serious cash for the SP 1 if he sold it at the gunshow. He'd have cash left over after he bought a new tacticooled AR. He agreed, but accepted $500 for his SP 1. He had to add about $300 to get his new AR. I almost puked, & after that, I stopped giving personal advice to customers. GARY N4KVE

It's the middle of July, anybody hear from any LE reps if they r coming out with it this month?
